These timbers are very beautiful, natural oak is a timeless material that will last for generations. When using Oak sleeper's care needs to be taken with fixings and bolts as oak is very mobile when it is still green. Also, the sap in oak wood is very corrosive to certain types of metal. Contemporary Garden Designs believe that the best way of fixing oak is with oak pegs, as these will move with the timber as it seasons.
